Jason Yarmish, Vice President
Senior Biologist/ Project Manager at EDI Environmental Dynamics Inc
Jason is a consulting fisheries biologist, with a long history of working for First Nations throughout BC including the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation. Growing up in both Prince George and the Penny area, Jason is passionate about the environment, sustainable approaches to development, and believes we must learn from the past to make positive changes for our children’s futures. Being on the Board for the museum is an opportunity to collaborate, build connections, and engage with the community in a meaningful environment (particularly youth).
Barbara Otter, Secretary
Barbara values the impact of railway and forestry on our local history. As a board member since 2016, Barbara enjoys volunteering with others to influence the future of this hidden gem of a museum.
Iain Elder, Director
Senior Technical Customer Service, Armtec Inc.
“I work for Armtec Inc, the largest infrastructure Supply Company in Canada, and I have been in the construction industry for over 40 years, and sit on a few construction related boards and committees.
I bring Time Management as well as Timely Organizing to the PGRFM Board. The reason I joined the PGRFM Board was to give back to the community and help preserve the history of Rail and Forestry in the region.”
Harry Perry, Director
Marketing Specialist and Technical Consultant with Perry Films.
“Harry is a marketing specialist and video strategist with his company, Perry Films. Harry became a member of the board to assist in marketing efforts to ensure that more people in our region know of the amazing work happening at the BCRFM year-round and the rich history of the area.”
Binny Johal, Director
Human Resources Specialist, Carrier Sekani Family Services
Binny is a Human Resources Professional with experience in a variety of sectors including not-for-profit, forestry and education. Binny joins the Board with a passion for community engagement and development.
Larry Townsend, Director
Larry retired from Water Stewardship (38 yrs), has Business Administration from CNC. His background includes experience in machine shop; brief railroader; Officer with Navy League cadets, Acting Sub-Lieutenant (retired); Boy Scout Leader and Chaplin and I’m gifted at using my hands. He began volunteering at the museum in 2012, and joined the Board in 2016. “I saw an opportunity where I could make a difference and the rest is history.”
Scott Nelson, Director
Managing Partner, Relativity Engineering Ltd.
Scott is a Professional Engineer and managing partner at Relativity Engineering, and a Director of Biomedical Engineering at Northern Health.
Kym Gouchie, Director
Kym Gouchie is a cultural advisor and is a member of the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation
